Ron Abrams was recently quoted in Allyson Versprille’s Bloomberg BNA article “Michael Jackson Estate-Tax Woes Provide Lesson for Celebrities.” In the article, Ron discusses how adding a time ban on the exploitation of a celebrity’s image can impact his or her postmortem image.
“Certainly, putting some kind of time bar on exploitation of your name and likeness is going to reduce the value,” because as time passes, the celebrity is less recognizable, reducing profitability, said Ron.
