Joe Balice Quoted in Bloomberg Article about Juul Marketing Lawsuits
Joe Balice was recently quoted in Edvard Pettersson’s Bloomberg article “Juul Fights Mafia Law Designation in Suits Against Its Marketing.” The piece discusses the legal claims against Juul Labs Inc. for the company’s marketing and the possibility of lawsuits under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), which was originally implemented in 1970 to prosecute organized crime. Since RICO was enacted, it has also been used in lawsuits against tobacco companies.
Joe commented on the importance of the lawsuit for Juul.

“It will be of the utmost importance for the defendant to get it thrown out at the earliest opportunity.”
