BG Law Prevails in Defense of Client Against Claims of Civil Extortion

BG Law attorneys, led by Joe Balice, recently achieved favorable results in yet another matter, successfully securing a complete defense award for a client in an arbitration alleging civil extortion. The claimant, a designated vexatious litigant, sought compensatory and punitive damages arising from what he alleged was civil extortion involving social media and online reviews. The firm’s defense successfully proved, among other things, that no extortion had taken place and subsequently the claimant was awarded nothing.
