Jeff Kobulnick Speaks at International Trademark Association’s Brands and Fashion Conference
Jeff Kobulnick moderated the panel “Navigating Design Challenges in the U.S. Apparel Industry” at the International Trademark Association’s (INTA) Brands and Fashion Conference on March 22-23, 2017 in New York City. During the panel, Jeff discussed intellectual property issues facing designers and apparel companies, such as whether designs consisting of common elements in the public domain should be afforded copyright protection, creative works of authorship (protected under U.S. copyright law) versus useful design elements (which are supposed to be beyond the scope of copyright protection), and forms of design protection other than copyright law.
