BG Law Elevates Jessica Bagdanov to Partnership
Los Angeles, CA – December 30, 2020 – BG Law is proud to announce that Jessica Bagdanov has been named a Partner of the Firm, effective January 1, 2021. She has significant and comprehensive insolvency and restructuring experience. She consistently represents chapter 7 trustees and receivers, as well as debtors and creditors in chapter 11 matters. Jessica also has significant business litigation and trial experience, and is routinely responsible for a wide range of motion practice in contested matters, adversary proceedings, and related appeals.
Jessica has spent her entire professional career at BG Law. Prior to joining, she clerked for the Honorable Ellen Carroll (retired) and the Honorable Robert N. Kwan, United States Bankruptcy Judges for the Central District of California, Los Angeles Division. Additionally, she worked as a Staff Attorney for the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

At BG Law, Jessica is committed to diversity, inclusion, and public service. She co-founded the firm’s “Give Back” Committee, which has expanded the firm’s community service and pro bono activities significantly in the past three years. She also co-founded the BG Law Diversity and Inclusion Committee, seeking to emphasize and improve the firm’s overall diversity at every level, as well as continue the firm’s leadership in the community on these critical issues.
Jessica received her J.D. from Chapman University, Fowler School of Law, and a philosophy degree from Westmont College. She presently serves as a Board Member for the Insolvency Law Committee as well as the Los Angeles Bankruptcy Forum, an Associate Editor of the Business Law News section of the California Lawyers Association, and is one of the Education Co-Chairs for the 2020 and 2021 California Bankruptcy Forum. Previously, Jessica served as one of the Young Insolvency Professionals (YIP) Co-Chairs for the 2019 California Bankruptcy Forum, and as Secretary of the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC, 2015-2017). She has been recognized as a “Southern California Rising Star” by Super Lawyers since 2015, and has been named among the “Best Lawyers in America” since 2018.
