The Daily Journal Honors Jessica Bagdanov on 2026 List of “Top Women Lawyers”

BG Law is pleased to announce that Jessica Bagdanov has been named one of California’s “Top Women Lawyers” for 2026 by the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal. The prestigious list annually honors California’s most accomplished female attorneys, highlighting women across a diverse range of practice areas for their victories and overall impact in the legal profession.

In Jessica’s profile, the Daily Journal spotlights her renowned bankruptcy practice. Jessica was first introduced to bankruptcy through coursework at law school and has since built 15 years of experience in the field, spanning transactional work, litigation, and alternative dispute resolutions. Jessica emphasizes the unique blend of practice areas in bankruptcy, sharing, “Every case is different and a bankruptcy attorney must be prepared to learn and understand all types of law — family, real estate, securities, tax, just to name a few — in order to properly advise a client.”

The feature underscores how Jessica has helped companies preserve jobs and keep operations intact through effective reorganizations, as well as recover assets that had been fraudulently concealed from creditors. When discussing the definition of success, she shares how it is defined differently in this bankruptcy compared to others: “In my field, we often measure success by seeing how many jobs we helped save in successfully reorganizing an ongoing business, or being able to pay creditors by recovering assets that had been fraudulently shielded from collection efforts.”

She continues to elaborate on that definition of success, conveying success to her, “Is also ensuring fair and equal access to the American bankruptcy system, regardless of someone’s station in life, which, in bankruptcy, is oftentimes someone’s rock bottom,” and that, “Assisting those businesses and individuals who are facing seemingly impossible challenges and helping them feel seen and understood by a complex legal system is often my definition of success.”
